First Impression: L'oreal Magic Smooth Souffle

9:58 PM

Hello Everyone!!
I got this foundation a couple of days ago, I actually found it for $5's at the swap meet. It's not my favorite place to purchase make up but it was so inexpensive and I really wanted to give this foundation a try. At the same time I was iffy about this foundation because of the texture.

L'oreal Magic Smooth Souffle

Natural Beige (522)

What it claims:
Flawless, silky, and evenly toned skin. It also claims to be versatile with different skin types.
Here is a full description of the foundation on the Walmart site.
(Product no longer available online)

Price: $10-13 (What I have seen).

My First Impressions:
When picking up this product I compared it to the Revlon whipped foundation and I have to say it doesn't compare.
The texture is very smooth and silky.
When applying it to the face its pretty easy to work with either with your fingers or with a brush.
It left my face with a very silky smooth finish. It covered all my redness and in perfections.

The following pictures are me with...
No make up on.
Face on.
Full face on.
& at the end of the day.

Coverage:
Medium coverage.
I wouldn't recommend you build up this foundation because it would be very heavy on the skin.

Lasting Power:
5-6 hours.

Overall:
I wouldn't recommend this foundation if you have any problems with you skin.
On the other hand, if you have perfect skin and are not acne prone this is a great foundation for you.
Throughout the day I noticed it clogged my pores and at the end of the night I noticed small breakouts on my chin area.
It didn't feel heavy but I did feel shiny at the end of the day.
I wouldn't purchase this product again. I will only be wearing it when I know I won't have it on my face all day long.

I give it a 3 out of 5.

I'm glad I only paid 5$'s for it and not the full 13$'s.
Have you tried this product before? What did you think about it?
I hope this was helpful!

  1. I wanted to try out this foundation, but like you and others have said, it is not good for problematic skin, which is what I have. Thanks for the awesome review!!!
