I wanted to share a couple of pictures from yesterday, so my parents took of Friday to celebrate Mother's Day weekend in Santa Barbara and my sister and I got left behind because we had to work.
On Saturday I decided to drive up there with my bf to surprise them both; I didn't tell them I was coming so they didn't expect me. It was fun the coupe hours we were there with them.

So because I skipped last months favorites I decided to include some of my March and April Favorites in this post. I mainly had a lot of nail polish favorites and not so much make up or beauty items.
I haven't been wearing much make up, because of the heat I try to stay away from a lot of make up and as for foundation I have been using nothing but the Pond's BB+ Cream.

So nothing new here (lol) I'm obsessed with changing my nail polish!

Today, even though the weather is a little gloomy and it matched my blue nails, I decided to brighten my day up with a more spring and summery color. 

I went for this pretty color from the Julie Nail Colors Collection from this past Valentines Day, its called Fred.

Love this color it almost looks like a neon pink/orange color. 

Reminds me of a sunset and I just love the pop of color. 

The lighting kept changing on me so ignore my super tan looking hand (lol).

Back to back reviews this week; Yay!

Today I wanted to share my thoughts on this Pond's BB+ Cream; this has been my go to product for the last couple of weeks. So a couple of weeks ago I went to Disneyland on a really hot day and dummy me, I forgot to wear sunscreen! (I know that's so bad).

Long story short, I was in the sun all day and my face ended up getting burnt!

 My skin on my face and even my eye lids felt really dry and I could feel the skin peeling off. 

I would wear foundation to cover it up but it would only make it worse, the foundation would point out those areas even more and I just didn't like it. 

Then I remembered I had this BB+ cream that would provide light coverage, SPF and a luminous finish; and that's how I re-discovered this product because I believe when I first purchased this product I wasn't a big fan. Which goes to show you you may not like something when you first use it but you never know if you will fall in love with it later on.

As far as using it for the first time, I didn't really like it. It left my face very oily and greasy feeling. 

I also think it had a lot to do with my skin tone not matching the shade at the time. 

Like I mentioned earlier when I burnt my face this came in handy everyday. 

It cooled down my face, moisturized it throughout the day and gave me a slight coverage too. 

What it Claims:

Covers imperfections

Reduces dark spots

Not greasy, matte finish

SPF 15

Non-comedogenic, which means it will not clog your pores

Hypoallergenic

Formula & Application:

Very creamy formula which makes sense because it it a cream. 

Remember this is not a foundation, which is what I like about this product. 

The formula is easy to wok with as you can see in the picture above it goes on smoothly, not chunky or oily looking. The more you blend in the cream it begins forming into your skin and the color matches perfectly. 

This is another product just like the Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation that I like to apply with my hands. It makes it so much easier and quicker to apply in the mornings. 

I warm the product up either in the back of my hand or with my fingers and begin to apply just like you would apply a moisturizer. 

Coverage:

Light coverage. 

This product is not going to leave you with a flawless looking face it's going to enhance your own skin and I feel like it lets my skin heal and at the same time provides me with some coverage. 

As you can see in the picture about I have the cream on my right side of my hand, if you notice to the left side you can see little sun spots on my hand. 

The cream does a great job at covering it and still looking natural. 

Overall:

5 out of 5. 

This BB+ cream has rejuvenated my skin, my skin is still not perfect by all means but it helped it heal after getting sun burnt and I enjoy using it everyday. 

It's easy to work with and gives me the results I want. 

When you use something like this don't expect to have great results at the beginning I had a love hate relationship but as I wore it more and more it just became my favorite face product at the moment. 

This product did everything it claimed and more.

I hauled this foundation back in January and I actually used it for the last couple of months. 

I got it at Walmart for around $5-6's.

What it Claims:

It claims to have a feather light, oil free formula with an airy mousse texture

Will not feel heavy or greasy

All day shine control

Blends flawlessly

Natural matte finish

Minimizes appearance of pores

They have 8 Shades to choose from.

My First Impressions:

A very thick consistency; I could see why they called it liquid mousse foundation it reminded me a lot of the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse. Unlike the Maybelline foundation this Rimmel London mousse foundation is very smooth and easy to work with. The color matched me perfectly. 

Coverage: 

Light to Medium Coverage. 

It's defiantly build able. 

Formula & Application:

Like I mentioned earlier the formula is very thick but when you warm it up either on your fingers or the back of your hand it blends very nicely. 

I applied this foundation with the beauty blender but I felt that I wasted a lot of product that way; because this foundation is very thick I felt it was sinking in to my beauty blender and not going on my face. 

My favorite way to apply this foundation is with my fingers. I'm able to warm it up and apply straight to my face that way. 

Pros:

Great coverage

Easy to work with

Love the packaging (very important)

Easy to travel with

Cons:

Lasting power is not great; on me it lasted less than 4 hours

Oily and greasy face a couple hours after applying it

As the day goes by it starts getting darker on your face 

(not oxidizing, but the color begins to change at least on me)

It did not minimize my pores, I feel like it enhanced them.

Overall: 

I think this is a great foundation to wear for a couple of hours which is why I think I enjoyed using it and still do. I'm able to get good coverage for a couple of hours and then once it starts changing color or getting oily and greasy I remove it.The longer I wear it I feel like my face is caking up and feeling very heavy, it doesn't look that way but it definitely feels like it on my skin. Again this is on my skin type, which is oily combination skin. This foundation is so in expensive that I wouldn't have a problem purchasing it again to wear it to work or quick errands throughout the day.

Here's a simple and quick outfit of the day for work.
Sometimes I run out of time to get ready or I have to run errands before I go to work and I don't want to run around in heels or super dressy, this is when I pull basic pieces from my closet.

Today's Basics: Black Peplum top, Cardigan, Black pants & Flats.

My little feet were tiered and I opted for some comfy flats that day.
I went for an all black basic look and a pop of gold to bring the outfit all together.

On the Go

Sometimes the way you dress makes a huge difference on how you feel that day.

I just saw a video by Alejandra on YouTube where she says she works from home so, she went out and got cute PJ's to motivate her to get through her day. 

I feel the same way when I get ready to go to work; I want to look professional but still be comfortable.

I dyed my hair I want to say like a week ago and I love the color!

I decided to keep the red in my hair because I'm not tired of it just yet.
