L'oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder

6:21 PM

Hello Everyone!
I have waited a while to do this foundation review because I've had mixed emotions about it in the past couple of weeks.
I've been using this foundation since I first hauled it from ULTA here, almost a month now.
In this post you will see pictures of  me wearing the foundation on different days, with flash and no flash.
I will also show you the texture of the foundation, in case you want to give this a try it is no surprise to you.

L'oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder

Price:
Ulta $12.99

My Shade:
Nude Beige (316)

What it Claims:
This foundation claims to be MAGIC!
No flaws
No Make up feel
Transforms into a powder like finish; leaving face feeling light as if your not wearing make up.
(L'oreal Paris)

My First Impressions:
The first thing I noticed about this foundation was of course the pretty bottle it comes in.
The first time I used this foundation I wasn't sure how to apply it, I had seen reviews and noticed it was very liquidy so I made sure to be very careful with it.
When I first applied it I put it on the back of my hand and I thought to my self how is this foundation a powder!?
As you can see in the picture below if you apply to much it gets very messy, it's a very runny consistency.

First Application:
I decided to put some on the back of my hand, then continue to dot it on my face and use a powder brush from ELF to blend the foundation. This is how I apply most of my foundations, with this one in particular I attempted to use my hands but it's too messy and the foundation is very greasy at least in my opinion.

Day 1

This picture (above) is when I first applied the foundation. It blended evenly and pretty easily and it matched my skin perfectly.

Day 2

Coverage:
This foundation has light-medium coverage I don't believe it can be full coverage because it's very light weight and even when building up the foundation at least to me it gets very oily so I try to avoid that as much as possible, and keep it simple with 1 or 2 layers only.

In the claims you will see this foundations says it feels as if your not wearing make up, well on me it's the complete opposite. I feel the make up melting off my face or just sliding off. Any time I touch my face for any reason I have foundation all over my hands and it's very oily as I mentioned earlier.

Day 2: Mid day

At the end of the day I still have some coverage but around my mouth area most of the make up has come off and because I wear glasses around my eyes and nose there isn't much foundation left.

Day 2: End of the Night

On the picture with no flash (on the left) you can see all my imperfections showing.
At the end of the night I feel like all the foundation has slid off and I'm left with no coverage, but I still have a very oily feeling.

Overall:
This foundation is not one of my favorites, I thought because it would have a powdery finish that it would work good with my oily combination skin. I'm not sure if the heat has anything to do with how this foundation has effected me, I even tried it with a primer, which I've never used and without and it made no difference.
I'm sad that I didn't like it.
If you've given this foundation a try please share your thoughts down below on how this foundation worked for you. Also feel free to check out some of my other foundation reviews on the side bar on the 'Popular Posts'.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope this is helpful.
